The Move to South Australia Roadshow is heading to the United Kingdom and Ireland in March 2027, creating opportunities for South Australian employers to connect directly with skilled professionals interested in living and working in our state.

A targeted international recruitment initiative led by the South Australian Government, the Roadshow brings together employers, migration experts and prospective candidates through a series of expo-style events in carefully selected locations.

Each event showcases South Australia as a destination of choice, highlighting career opportunities, lifestyle benefits and migration pathways, while giving employers direct access to motivated, qualified talent.

Moving beyond traditional recruitment channels, the Roadshow enables employers to engage face-to-face with candidates, build talent pipelines and identify people who align with their workforce needs.

Who can join?

For South Australian businesses and organisations looking to diversify their recruitment approach, the Move to SA Roadshow offers a practical opportunity to connect with skilled professionals interested in relocating to South Australia. It is particularly relevant for employers facing skills shortages, recruiting for hard-to-fill positions, or seeking to strengthen workforce capability for the future.

The Roadshow attracts candidates from a broad range of industries, including advanced manufacturing, agriculture, forestry and fishing, building and construction, education, engineering, food and beverage, health care and social assistance, specialist ICT, policing and law enforcement, and skilled trades.

If your industry is not listed, we still encourage you to get in touch. Employers from a wide range of sectors have opportunities to participate, and our team can discuss whether the Roadshow is a suitable fit for your workforce needs.

Eligibility requirements

Eligibility criteria for organisations includes:

Actively operating in South Australia for more than 12 months and are financially viable.

Unable to fill South Australian based skilled positions locally and are needing to source overseas skilled workers.

Have reasonable and lawful employment terms and conditions which align with Australian workplace laws and any relevant instruments.

Already or, at minimum, intending to directly recruit and sponsor overseas skilled workers via Australian employer sponsored visas, for positions* based in South Australia.

Currently able or willing to provide employer sponsorship.

Preference will be given to organisations wanting to recruit overseas skilled workers for positions based in South Australia, in one or more of the following sectors: Automotive, Construction and Trades, Education, Early Childhood Education, Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing, Specialist Information Communication and Technology (ICT) and Health and Care.

*Positions must be Skill Level 1 to 3 as outlined in the Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations (ANZSCO), with the exception of some lower skilled or semi-skilled occupations in Construction and Motor Trades.

What is the cost?

The cost of running the events including venue hire and logistics, AV and sound, marketing and promotion, coach transport from venue to venue and between nominated hotels will be supported by the Department of State Development.

Successful applicants will be responsible for all costs of participating in the delegation including flights, accommodation, other living and logistics, and individual business promotional costs.

Participation in the Move to SA Roadshow is subject to meeting the basic eligibility criteria and progression through an approvals process. There will be a limited number of places on the Roadshow.
