Under a Designated Area Migration Agreement (DAMA), certain visa requirements may be modified to help regional businesses attract and retain skilled workers. These modifications are known as ‘concessions’ and are specific to occupations, locations, or circumstances. You must refer to the DAMA occupation list to confirm which concessions apply to your nominated position.
Some concessions are governed by the Department of Home Affairs (federal), while others are managed by Skilled and Business Migration as part of South Australia's DAMA (state-level). Always check the relevant DAMA occupation list and refer to the Department of Home Affairs for visa subclass requirements.
Some occupations may have reduced work experience requirements compared to standard skilled visa pathways. Refer to the DAMA Occupation List for role-specific eligibility.
