If you have commenced an RCB advice application with Immigration SA, you will need to complete and submit the application prior to the system being closed at 11am on 15 November 2019.

From 11am on 15 November 2019, incomplete applications will be deleted, this includes applications that have been “saved but not submitted”.

With the introduction of the Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) (Subclass 494) visa, the Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (RSMS) (Subclass 187) direct entry stream visa will close to new visa applications from 15 November 2019.

You can submit RCB advice to the Department of Home Affairs after this date, provided you have applied to Immigration SA for RCB advice before 11am on 15 November, and both the employer nomination application and the nominee’s RSMS subclass 187 visa application have been lodged with the Department of Home Affairs before the 16 November 2019.

IMPORTANT: Please be aware of the following before making a decision whether to lodge an employer nomination application and 187 visa application with the Department of Home Affairs prior to the 16 November 2019.

  • The nominee will incur a visa application charge for lodging the 187 visa application, this should be taken into account before proceeding. The VAC will not be refunded if your visa application is refused
  • The employer needs to ensure they meet all RCB advice application requirements and submit a complete, decision-ready application to Immigration SA before 11am on 15 November 2019
  • The employer and nominee must meet all Department of Home Affairs’ requirements for the employer nomination application and 187 RSMS visa application.

The RCB advice application form for the Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) Subclass 494 will be available late November (the date and time will be confirmed closer to that date).
