Requirements for State sponsorship
To qualify for State Sponsorship you must meet ALL Sponsorship requirements and criteria relevant to your situation and the type of visa for which you will be applying.
Applicants must ultimately meet all the Commonwealth Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) criteria and requirements.
Please note:
- "Processing status of General Skilled Migration State Sponsorship applications"
Processing only commences when ALL the necessary documents have been registered by Immigration SA (not when the online application is submitted).
Validity periods also exist at various stages of the application and can change – you must adhere to these.
Immigration SA is currently processing applications received from 23 January 2012.
Please check this webpage regularly for updates on this process.
Once a decision on a sponsorship application has been made, it will be reflected on the Client Tracking System - If you will be utilising a waiver, you may not combine two waivers, eg. you may not combine the Work experience waiver with the “Off-List” or “Special Conditions Apply” waiver.
